What is chess?

Chess - a game of skill and tactics for men and women of all ages, a sport for quick thinkers but also for peaceful, quiet thinkers.
The time of a game is limited to 5 minutes during blitz matches. For other chess tournament matches, the participants have 30 minutes per game.

Chess is traditionally a quiet sport requiring great concentration skills. The suspense of the game results from the moves which are made in order to checkmate the opponent. This happens when the king can no longer make a move and is therefore conquered. Each player defends his or her king as best he/she can. Much of the suspense is from predicting the opponent's moves, but also from the clock because your “thinking” time is limited.
The tournament guarantees suspense and fun, also offering players plenty of opportunity to enjoy many social activities during the week.
